Who Is She?

If we try to define the term ‘laid-back’, we as individuals could come up with countless definitions, but if we goggle ‘laid-back’, we see that the definition is relaxed and easygoing.  I consider myself to be a laid-back individual, all at the same time learning to be laid back.

I honestly know that I’m blessed and highly favored and I posses one of the greatest gifts, enabling me to reach every end of the universe.

Growing up in a musically inclined family, I got an early start singing and playing instruments.  Since my mother was the minister of music at Prayer Garden COGIC (Lima), I had the privilege of studying under her, as well as being present in many of the services where I sometimes got the chance to play along side her.

After singing and trying the piano and cello, I started playing the drums at the age of 8.  I was attracted to all instruments, but there was something about the drums that stuck close to me like the breath in my lungs.  I’m a multi instrumentalist with drums and percussion being my principal.

My musical influence includes but are not limited to my mother, The Clark Sisters, Shelia E., Max Roach, Buddy Rich, Prince, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, Elvis Presley.  Each one of these artist have helped shaped the vibe I choose every time I play, sing, or produce a record.

I strive to stay consistent and current in honing and developing my craft.  I’m the drum line instructor at one of the local high schools, where I get the honor and pleasure of shaping and nurturing the minds of young percussionist.

In, a nutshell, I’m just a girl from Bean City, (Lima) OH spreading gud vibes and God’s love through music.  I’ve always had a deep love of music and all aspects from writing and playing to producing and staging concerts.
